In recognition of your extraordinary potential, we’ve created the Diasporans Africa Scholarship in partnership with CashEx to award 10 students with $1,000 for their education in the United States.

How it works

Your eligibility Requirements in 3 simple steps

Apply for the scholarship with an eligible document* that shows that you are about to study in the US.

In 250 words, complete an essay stating why you need this scholarship and how you intend to contribute to Africa after your program.

Winners will be announced before the beginning of the academic year. They will be contacted via their email address.

How do I apply for the scholarship?

All eligible students must complete the signup process and write the essay

What is the deadline to apply?

The application deadline is 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) on March 15th, 2023.

What documents is required to apply?

Students can submit any of the following to apply:

1. Admission Letter
2. Proof of University Application
3. Test scores
4. Transcripts

When would the winners be notified

Winners would be announced at the beginning of the academic year. They will be contacted via email to claim their scholarship!

How are winners selected?

A review committee of qualified educational professionals would meet to determine the recipients  for the scholarships.
Winners are selected from across Africa with not more than 3 winners per country.
